About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To never have nothing to do
ABOUT ME
I'm Australian, and I grew up on a 10,000 acre biodynamic beef/olive/vegetable property north of Sydney. i love things i don't understand, trying to learn languages, cooking, reading, wandering, talking, filling up my brain with anything and everything. i've travelled alone for 5 months in europe, which was wonderful. I'm now in Edinburgh, because i can't get enough of freezing cold and cobble stones, and i'm studying Philosophy and Politics until 2014. I'm involved in lots of things at my university, mostly political. no, i haven't a clue what i'll do with the degree - i'm just following my interests and hoping they'll give birth to some kind of concrete aims! and all the while i hope to be meeting people who'll challenge me and draw me further out into the world.
PHILOSOPHY
"if you really want to do something, you'll just do it"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've begged some couches from others, and now i'm opening up my floor to the couchsurf community! I'll be back on the circuit myself as a traveller pretty soon, I daresay.

Music, Movies, and Books
works that say things better than i do
Favourites at the moment: The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Catch-22, Steppenwolf, and 'Cascando' by Samuel Beckett has to be the most perfect poem ever written. As to music, i have an obsessively full ipod, but mostly i listen to Joni Mitchell, Chet Baker, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Etta James. Films? Anything with heart or intelligence - i'm pretty generous with movies, trashy can be as fun as transcendental! Most importantly, i'll give anything (except screamo music and Stephanie Meyer) a go, like a dinky-di aussie should!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
so many! (but not enough)
Teach, Learn, Share
If you're unlucky enough not to have found a couchsurf host, always stay in grungy hostels (particularly rather than HI hostels, they're always so sterile) - people who pay less for accomodation are always travellers with better values and more bravery and capacity for fun. Anyway, cold showers in Rome in February are a lot more fun than you'd think, and fresh pizza and mojitos are so much more valuable than hot water!
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Egypt, France, New Zealand
Countries I’ve Lived In
Italy, United Kingdom
