Hi all. I am Lex, originally from the East of the Netherlands, but been living in Amsterdam for over 15 years. I love meeting new people, going for coffee or drinks, watching a movie, exploring a city and getting new experiences. This is then the most important reason for me to be here: meeting people from around the world. Since I have a pretty busy workweek I do not usually have the time to show my surfers around, but I am happy to hang out in the evening and cook for you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is a very nice way of getting to know a city (including your own!) and meeting new people. It feels good to help out travellers on a tight budget for whom couchsurfing might be the only opportunity to see cities with insane hotel rates like Amsterdam.

Interests

I am an anthropologist by training and wrote my Ph.D. dissertation on drug use and care in Indonesia. I'm a big fan of eating and cooking. Love the mountains and forests.
