About Me
*** My Home is not "free accommodation"
or "some place to dump your stuff".
This is not what Couchsurfing is about.
Before sending a Couch Request

ABOUT ME
Just an introverted fellow who spends his time on trying to figure out why people don't travel more and what similarities we have instead of differences. I host more than I surf.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
PHILOSOPHY
We are all the same, just at different points of our existence. "Fate" is an exercise in hindsight; "Choice" is about being present in the moment.
CURRENT MISSION
Float through life by letting go of the things will that drown you.
Meeting different aspects of myself in others by:
- sharing the stories that changed our lives,
- seeking affirmation of the selflessness of humanity and
- mutual growth through shared experiences.
Interests
I spend my time looking at the sky appreciating we are all connected somehow, whether it be by blood, shared experiences or the earth of which we are born from. Otherwise, I find myself passing time pondering about the world - wondering why we default to others when we should be instigating the change we seek.
I express my creative side through
- art (painting/illustration in traditional and digital mediums),
- singing (baritone to alto 2) and
- craft (I'm pretty good with a scalpel, some glue and needles).
Every once in a while I indulge in RPG and RTS games by Blizzard or on the PS4, or the occasional game of snooker/pool/billiards. Otherwise, I try (operative word here, "try") and keep fit (avoiding having to buy larger pants sizes) by cycling and playing badminton socially.
I also like assembling things - to understand them better.
- arts
- singing
- illustrations
- dining
- cooking
- exercise
- traveling
- billiards
- knitting
- painting
- guitar
- violin
- badminton
- snooker
Music, Movies, and Books
Ella Fitzgerald - because her voice is effortless, and soul eternal.
James Bay - makes me want to learn how to play the guitar.
The sound of rain - because we forget we are all part water.
Joy Luck Club - because there will always be an unspoken truth between a mother and child.
Miyasaki - because he slows down the world and distills before us on celluloid form.
Cinema Paradiso - resonated my heart strings like the way Itzak Perlman plays the theme.
Tuesdays with Morrie - filled a hole in heart.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've created a deck of tarot cards
- I can't predict the future but I can tell you where you've come from.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an artist at heart so I bring all sorts of creative skills to the table.
I also enjoy solving problems - though the solution is not as important as the process.
I can also share my passion for food through cooking, shared meals, dinning out and exchanging of ideas. While I have certain food-intolerances, allergies, and a deep seeded hate for vegetables, I am willing to make concessions in the spirit of cooking.
I often teach myself things that I have an interest in and lately that has been French, knitting, the guitar and violin. I'm happy for any guidance or tips if you're offering.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good meal,
conversations with depth,
moments of laughter and
genuine generosity.
