Around the world project 2007-2008: We create cultural understanding, one couch at the time!

ABOUT ME

After travelling the world, and being hosted by many CSers, we now are back and ready to welcome CSers to Oslo. We want to host people who bring interesting perspectives of the world with them, and look forward to good conversations. We have been, and are still, travelling extensively, and love open and adventurous people.
We live in the little village Son in Akershus. It takes approx. 40 minutes by train from Oslo Sentralstation to get here.

A short description of us:
Oddbjørg has lived all over Norway and considers herself "typical Norwegian" with a big heart for her little home town Vågåmo (a charming town with a green lake in the mountainous area in the middle of Norway). Bjørn Chr. has lived in Austria, Germany, England, Switzerland in addition to Norway, and considers himself to be a world citizen. In 2007-2008 we travelled around the world for 9 months, and had so many great experiences through CS. Needless to say: we LOVE travelling:-)

Our friend Ivar recommended CS, and we joined in September 2007. We can only say: WOW! We love this community:-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

USA, Brazil, South America, South Africa, Dubai, India. Without exception we have had only wonderful experiences.

Interests

Our interests are: Travelling, Tango, hiking, scuba diving, skiing, jogging, meeting new friends & cultures, reading books and enjoy life!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: We know its geeky, but we love the the 80`ies! The Foreigners, Prince, Phil Collins, Abba, Elton John, etc. But also classic music, jazz, Gregorian Munch music, Øystein Sevåg (he is a star) Opera, Nat King Cole, and Gotan Project for Tango.

Books: Paolo Coelho, philosophy, psychology, etc.

Movies: Amores Perros, The Aviator, La vita e bella, The english patient, Michael Moore, Blue Lagune and BABEL!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To meet each other - the BIG love in life, and the fact that we will be parents in August for the first time! :-)

Teach & Share: as consultants we work with public and private organizations, and would love to share our knowledge about cultural diversity and how both indviduals and organizations can grow with increased cultural awareness.
