About Me

CURRENT MISSION To feel comfortable with doing nothing. To use my phone/computer less. To finish my album! ABOUT ME I live in Brooklyn New York USA. I cook, make videos for non-profits, play games, make music and play outside. And I'm gay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I often don't really discover my own city until I'm experiencing it with someone who I am hosting.
There's something so wonderful about that.! And when I travel, I want that same kind of magic, to step into someone else's world and culture, outside of the typical tourist transaction.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
I've hosted people from Jordan, France, Japan, India, and the USA. I love it!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to lots of music! I tend to go for more obscure stuff and less pop music, although sometimes pop definitely gets me moving. Right now I'm enjoying Elza Soares, Austra, Moondog, Juana Molina, and Gabor Szabo. Old favorites include Cocteau Twins, Joni Mitchell and Tom Waits.

Movies! I watch lots of nature documentaries. And avant garde films from around the world.

Books! Right now I'm reading Elena Ferrante's Neopolitan series. I recently finished The Sleeping Giant by Ishiguro and House of Spirits by Allende.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There's a remote valley in Death Valley, California that has really cool sand dunes that take a day to hike to. It's a straight walk across the valley, so the scenery hardly changes, the dunes just keep getting bigger.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach people about filmmaking and cooking. I can also teach people about cricket farming!
I would love to learn Scuba diving and alternative home construction

What I Can Share with Hosts

A genuine interest in connection, fun, and friendship. A meal. A really fun Japanese game that involves clapping and chanting.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

Jordan, United States
