I lived in Thailand for 5 years teaching (Primary) in a British International School, then Australia for a year, on a working holiday visa, then Malaysia for a year. Now based back in my home town, Leicester, UK. Love travelling and meeting new people, sharing experiences and advice :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately due to traveling and mostly living in shared accomodation, I have been unable to host surfers. I have also never surfed but now that I'm in Australia, I hope to.

I participated in Thailand by meeting with people for coffee/drinks, go to CS events and help fellow travellers who needed advice and a bit of 'local' knowledge on getting around and things to do and see in Thailand and SE Asia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have not actually hosted or surfed. I joined CS when living in Bangkok as a way of meeting new and interesting people with a common love of travelling. After living in Bangkok for 5 years, I was able to help people out with tips on where to stay and where to go etc. Now in Australia I am using CS a lot more to ask for people's help and advice. Travelling can get lonely at times so I hope to surf some couches and meet new people and have some great experiences.

Interests

I love warm weather, eating good food, cooking, exercising, being healthy, reading, learning about Buddhism, learning new things, good conversation, good company, red wine, cats, positive & non-judgemental people, holidays and seeing my family.
