About Me

Hi! My name is Iara with i. I was born -but not raised- in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I grow up in several argentinian cities like Mendoza, Rosario and Córdoba. Now I'm back in Buenos Aires, living with my bff, drinking fernet with coke and doing a Ph.D. in antarctic marine ecology and climate change (nerd!).

I'm a curious soul, for real. I'm like a little kid that gets amazed by the most silly or irrelevant things. I am a very observant person, I like to appreciate those small details that we generally miss. That's probably why I'm into photography.
I'm always trying to think outside the box, questioning everything, not taking anything for granted. I'm a fact-kind of person (not very spiritual, yet I respects those who are).
I tend to be very passionate. I'm a feminist (pro-choice; aborto, legal, seguro y gratuito). I support lgbtq+ movement and I care about social justice and environmental sustainability.

When it comes to music, I'm always up to discovering new artists and attending concerts and festivals (although I can't even play the triangle and I'm half deaf haha). In general, I'm open to all kind of new experiences and adventures.

I can be a little shy when I first meet somebody but once I get confident you won't be able to shush me haha.

You can find the virtual me in http://instagram.com/123iamela -yes, I really like pink and sunsets :)-

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sun going down and the star shine in Cabo Polonio, Uruguay (a tiny village in a natural reserve with almost no electricity). It wasn't anything too crazy but it was surely the most amazing and beautiful thing I have ever seen.
