Music, Movies, and Books

Movies :JG Inarritu, Cohen brothers, Jim Jarmusch, Jacques Audiard, Woody Allen and many many more

Music : from hip-hop (like Gangstarr, A Tribe Called Quest...) to rock (The doors, Hendrix...), electronic (Autechre, Squarepusher...) to reggae (Bob, Groundation), through Bashung, Gainsbourg etc...

Concerning litterature, I have read as many books in the past two years as before in all my life... I like Flaubert, Hugo, Maupassant, Dostoïevsky, Kawabata, Poe...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many natural places, forms of life or even man-made stuffs I had the luck to visit/see got me awestruck. But maybe I could talk here about hospitality... One great experience I had was to get invited to share meal in Morocco in different places, especially in the deep countryside on the atlantic coast where a farmer, who didn't speak even a word of arabic (he was berberian) and with which we just could exchange glances and gestures, open us his door. He offered us tea, bread, home made butter and argan oil, "presented" us his newborn daugther... That was great. This guy in particular has nearly nothing in the sense we understand it in our occidental world but he's more generous than many of us... This experience illustrate not a general rule but a great human tendance... This is a commonplace but striking when you live it.
