ABOUT ME

Love traveling and absorbing new cultures, foods, and experiencing new things. My kid and I have been traveling full time since May 2011. She has been on 6 continents so far.

In addition to being an author and writer, I'm a scuba instructor.

PHILOSOPHY

After working in intensive care, trauma, and hospice for years, Live Without Regrets! has become my personal and family motto. I don't want to have a time in my life when I look back and see a whole bunch of "Gee, I wish I had . . . " moments. Instead I want to be able to say maybe I didn't do EVERYTHING, but man this has been one helluva ride!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had the pleasure of surfing and hosting and have met some truly fabulous people. I plan on hosting anywhere I can and am looking forward to meeting new friends all over the world and couchsurfing to get a real glimpse of people's life in other countries and cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've had the pleasure of both hosting and surfing. We have met some truly wonderful people over the years, and I'm a real believer in the CS project. I have learned so much from others. Many of our hosts and surfers have become long-time friends.

I love the fantasy genre for books (and have written a novel). I'm pretty eclectic for movies (not big on lots of violence, though) and music, except I'm not interested in country music. As in it's like torture.

In 2010 I spent 5 days in the rainforest in Peru off the grid. Took on my fear of falling by crossing/climbing a cable bridge to do a canopy walk.

In 2011, I went on a shark dive with my kid.

In 2012, I took my child on her first wreck dive. We ended 2012 and began 2013 living on a small oasis in southern Morocco.

Did I mention I'm a single parent? Yeah, talk about adventure!

My son is the adrenaline junkie in our house, though. He has surfed in Ecuador, paraglided in Peru, parasailed in Mexico, and is hoping to skydive.
