CURRENT MISSION
I'm back in Perth after my 5th round the world trip. Next travels will be closer to home. I do Autism Assessments around WA and try to organise it so I can have a few extra days to explore new areas.

I have a small house near Fremantle with a big garden and plenty of space for a tent (I have one you can borrow if you don't have your own.) I live a few minutes drive from the beach, 1 minute walk from bus and local shop and 30 min from Perth city centre (but not sure why you would want to go there when Freo is so much more....everything). I work 3 days a week so often have time to meet for meals, walks etc.

ABOUT ME
I'm imaginative, creative, open-minded, slightly weird in a mostly positive way. I hate trying to describe myself so I asked friends to describe me... this is what they said...

I've been vegetarian since I was 13 - no meat or fish, but I do eat milk, eggs and LOVE cheese. My house is vegetarian (it doesn't even eat spiders), sorry, but please don't bring any meat or fish if you are coming to stay. Thanks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted and been hosted by many Hospitality club members from around the world. I joined Couch surfing while travelling through Eastern Europe in 2012. Since I returned my 2 bedroom house has been full with up to 9 people (friends and friends of friends) & I haven't been able to host many couch surfers, but I have lots of positive comments from people that stayed with me from Hospitality Club.

Interests

I'm lucky to love my work. I'm a speech therapist 3-4 days a week, helping children (mainly with autism) to communicate. I get paid to play and blow bubbles most of the day. I also do autism assessments around WA and love staying somewhere new.
I'm a potter, mainly hand-build (not working on a wheel) anything from plates to dragons. I've taught children's classes and run pottery birthday parties. I like weaving, wood turning and wood carving.
I live near the ocean and love spending time next to water.
Love cooking and eating vegetarian food.
Love jumping on crunchy leaves.
Love listening to peoples ideas on life, the universe and everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I tied a room up with string,
I made a mansion out of cardboard boxes,
I've walked on hot coal,
I had a snowball fight in a Jacuzzi,
I've jumped out of an aeroplane and off of cliffs,
I've been to 4 blazing swans (WA's 'burning man') 4 hours drive east of Perth, each Easter
I swam at the top of a glacier
and
traveled the world with a dice to decide where to go and what to do.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking and learning new (vegetarian) meals.
I'd like to learn more guitar- I'm very bored of the few tunes I can almost play.
I can teach, learn or share: pottery, crochet, wood carving, weaving.
