ABOUT ME

My name is Frank, and my wife is Petra. We currently live in Uster Switzerland. I originally came to Montreux, Switzerland in April of 2009. My reason for coming was to engage in a Live-in Student (Uchi-deshi) program at an Aikido Dojo (Aikido Montreux). This was a major time in my life where i was on my path of self-discovery. The philosophical view of this dojo is self-discovery and spiritual deepening. It is a communal space where anywhere from 2 to 20 people would be living here at the same time. Aside from training in Aikido at least two classes per day we also engaged in many other forms of deepening our spiritual path, such as yoga and meditation. A huge topic was engaging in spiritual conversations and sharing our life experiences.

After i fell in love with aikido and giving my life a new direction i unexpectedly met my wife, who also came to be uchi-deshi. We have been married for a year now and believe that sharing our space would be a great way to give back to the community.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to lean-forward into life and engage whenever possible. The accept whatever comes and take challenges as an experience to learn from.
