About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To boisterously roam about our world, connecting with people through music, dance and thought
ABOUT ME
Atop my trusty steed (my bicycle) I am traveling the world. I have a fiddle and banjo and would simply love to learn the folk music and dance of parts of Europe, Eastern Europe, the middle east, and anywhere else I can get! I am always wanting to meet people and learn new languages and cultures. If you by chance know any musicians or dancers in your area, or know of a good couch or back yard where I can park my tent and my bike, I would be so glad to hear from you! I'm planning on traveling for a year or so, and thus I don't really have a time frame to give you unfortunately.
But hopefully an adventure or two will lead me your way! Thanks a bundle,
Lucia

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Always wonderful
Interests
Love the outdoors. Hiking, canoeing, climbing, most of all backpacking are all such treats for me. I also cannot get enough of music, I play the violin, mandolin and am working on guitar and piano and this weird thing called a voice. To sit and play for hours with one other person is my idea of the most intimate conversation out there, and it's possible even without introductions. I also love to read, then talk about it. Writing is a blast, as is dancing. Travel.. but I think that goes without saying?

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not a fan of compilations of favorites, because everything is so mood based.. but currently (July 2010) I am reading this book called Goedel Escher Bach, and it is talking about these 'strange loops' in math, art and music.. basically proving the impossibility of a perfect world where everything makes sense. I have taken a fancy for it, as I gravitate towards chaos.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was busking downtown Paris one day, eating off of the gullible tourists who thought I was some Parisian fiddle player, when along comes this man who was walking his dog.. but plopped on top of the dog was a big yellow cat, upon the cat was a mouse, and on the mouse was a piece of cheese. These were all strapped somehow, so that he was walking down the street with this food chain tower. At that point I found my act worthless and packed up.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach violin, I bring people to dances, I can recommend fun books, I can encourage adventures. I am open to learning anything.
