About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Go out and appreciate this huge world and everyone who shares it with me.

ABOUT ME

They call me Chris. I was born and raised deep in the Heart of Texas. I love that place and I am so glad I can call it home. I am currently an undergraduate freshman at college here in Boston, MA. I am studying sound design for visual media and hope to learn all I can about my creative process during these blessed 4 years of education.

I have a girlfriend in Fort Collins, Colorado, studying to be a Registered Dietician (official title needs capitalizing). She will probably be doing most of the traveling/couchsurfing with me over the summers and school breaks.

I am going to be pretty busy during the fall and spring until 2015, but I hope to be out and moving during all my time off and hosting people whenever I can.

PHILOSOPHY

Perfect Love casts out all fear.

There is a God so loving, that he suffered our sins to save us from the gravity of our iniquity. We were made in his image and he wants each of us to recognize the truth that our souls are only satisfied in his love, and we should all be thankful in our every breathing moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am mostly intending to couch surf for now as my dorm is very strict on guests and visitor hours (being in downtown Boston, the security is very uptight). I would love to find people online who can help me with a place to stay when I go adventuring out.

That being said about my Boston dorm, if anyone want's to stay in Austin, TX with me, that may be a little more reasonable during my summers when I am home.

Having mentioned my dorm situation, I would love to have people contact me with their intentions in meeting/visiting/staying with me. There is a possibility something can be worked out, and I would be glad to work towards that! I am not an incredibly busy guy, but I am a full-time student trying to cherish every minute I have with such a glorious opportunity. Send me a request and we can talk about what possible. There is always time for a new friend. (cheesy, but true)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am brand new to this. (Oct 2011) My girlfriend really turned me on to the idea, and it sounds like a sensical and exciting way to live and meet people. The opportunity to help, and be helped by other genuine people seems wonderful.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Shoes off. Pants cuffed. Nobody around. Just me, the rocks, and the water.

On the coast of Oregon there is a a jagged cliffside that is beaten by waves all day and night. There is a mist over the shore that only allows about 50 feet of sight. Ever since I read Frankenstein in high school and was led to imagine the erie setting of the monsters woes, I have been attracted to this ideal location. White water that bursts upwards upon contact, while the solid gray rock stands unshaken. This natural collision that I saw for the first time was a real dream come true. I climbed the rough boulders and just sat in the droning sound for as long as I could. What a day.

Teach, Learn, Share

-I can show you how to make a real great, 2 servings of vegetables, smoothie that tastes like a Reese's peanut butter cup! (without the High Fructose Corn Syrup of course)
-I have got awesome history surrounding my dorm (Boston's a living archeological site) and I can surely give you a tour.
-Although I don't have much of it, I am interested and fairly knowledgable on audio/video/filmmaking equipment.
-I try and keep up to date on current music and movie news and I would love to engage in conversations about the art of today.

-There are a million things I want to learn, I'll see what you know, and I'm sure it would be worth investing my time into!
