À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says "Oh Crap, She's up!"
ABOUT ME
I'm a whitewater raft guide on the Deerfield River in Charlemont MA. I plan on rafting until my body gives out and I'm forced to give it up. In the winter I work at a ski resort. I'm a teacher in the daycare.
I like to spend time with people of all ages, from new to worn in. I'm very open minded and seeking to find new stories. I can't really think right now because I'm tired from kayaking today.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live simply and not stress about the small stuff. I try to shape the world through my every day interactions with people and through the small changes I can make. Some days I do a better job than others.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My family and I really enjoy meeting new people. My mother brings random people home all the time who need a place to crash for awhile. Travellers looking to camp out that she meets at a tag sale, women who want to see her flowers who she talks to in the grocery line. I suppose this is where I get my urge to invite people to live in the yard all summer. We're a very welcoming group of people here and I would like to broaden our pool of strangers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had great experiences couch surfing. I met wonderful people who made my trip so much fun. My friend Amber and I spent 25 days in Ireland/Italy couchsurfing. It's a great thing and I will use it whenever I travel. Places are so much more fun when you get to meet new people and have the fun times with them.
Centres d'intérêt
Rafting, Kayaking, Developing photos in my darkroom, sewing costumes for plays, reading, knitting hats for my friends, watching movies, painting, walking, playing scrabble and losing horribly, lacrosse, living out of a backpack for a month, building shanty houses in my woods, cooking and baking, planting morning glories in my room, feeling useful, making people have a day they'll remember, playing with two year olds and acting like a fool, jumping in mud puddles, donating money when I have it, and all things fuzzy wuzzy and good. gah.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I like good movies and dumb movies, most music is something I would listen to, and yes I know how to read. I'll read anything, but it mostly ends up being historical in some aspect...I wonder why I majored in it, hmmmm.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I hiked in Zion Cayon, drove cross country, rafted the Ottowa in Canada and the Gauley in West Virginia, and I once saw a red squirrel swimming across the river.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I can teach you how to start a fire with...well you know...matches.
How to raft, kayak, walk up a hill, cook, develop photos, sheetrock a wall, and relax...some people don't know how to you know.
