ABOUT ME

We are a blended family with 4 children ages, 12, 10,10 and 7. Yes, we're busy.
We have been living together for 3 years and are finally getting married this August (whoo hoo!).
We are lucky to have combined a great friendship with the love of our life.
We are a busy household, and spend a lot of time on soccer and baseball fields but our children also spend time with their other parents so we do get to do our own activities and enjoy time for us.
We both have demanding careers but they somehow compliment eachother and although we love our work, we know the importance of disconnecting from work, relaxing, learning new things and travel.
We often dream of the time when we can retire, sell our wordly possessions, and travel the world on our terms...we both have a bit of gypsey in us.
We LOVE any new adventure, will try almost anything and love everything about other cultures.
We know the world is a big place, our dream is to explore and see as much of it as we can, and have many friends with the same values and interests in making the world a little smaller.
We are doers and helpers and try to see the positive in everything. We appreciate everyday and live by the mantra "It's my life, it's now or ever, I ain't gonna live forever"

PHILOSOPHY

Be gentle with hearts, kind with words, and always real. Live mindfully and diliberately. Appreciate each day, and those you love. Stand up for your beliefs, have opinions, know when to shut up.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are newbie's but have just hosted to our First Couch Surfers, and are now addicted. Thank you Daniel and Karine for a great first experience.

Interests

We are a very active family that enjoys any activity outdoors, downhill skiing, ice skating, swimming, biking, hiking. We both love to entertain and cook, and we're always the first to volunteer to host an event at our home. We are both story tellers and enjoy people from all walks of life, we are raising our kids to be the same... they are very entertaining little people.
We enjoy reading, talking to people, people watching, and we while we are an active family, we admit that sometimes we just like relaxing and watching American Idol or travel shows.
We love learning new things.... would love to learn another language proficiently and to play a musical instrument.
Carrie has too many dreams to list.... to deliver a baby, photograph Gorillas in the jungle, to invent a product that changes the world, survive a night alone in a dark desert, to teach a small group of people in a far away place to read, to bathe in a natural spring in a forest and hear nothing but the sound of forest, to watch my kids accomplish their biggest dream.
Wayne's interests will follow when he finds the time to write something here !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gosh, compared to some of the profiles we've read on here, we really haven't lived at all. We're quite humbled and inspired actually.
We haven't travelled the world yet, we've vacationed to many places but real travelling is only just beginning. There is a difference.

Well we haven't solved world hunger or found the cure for cancer so we really haven't done anything AMAZING but we're doing a pretty great job raising good people in hopes that they may solve all the world's problems someday.

One of The most exciting things I've ever done is skydiving, I do love adventure, a bit of a kook that way.
Wayne is a motorcycle enthusist, a motorcycle police officer and hoping to get on the Golden Helmets next year, a police precision motorcycle team that travels all over Ontario.

Teach, Learn, Share

So much to learn, so little time.
We both enjoy learning, reading, and talking about the meaning of life, religion, health, children, relationships, and anything else that involves being a better person, and learning from others.. ah wisdom ... experience that comes the minute after you really needed it.
