About Me

Liberdade é pouco. O que eu desejo ainda não tem nome. || Freedom is not enough. What I want does not have a name yet - Clarice Lispector

I like writing plans and realising them. I like freely exploring against any plans. I like music and films. I like art. I like books and I like travelling. I like laughing until my belly hurts and I like nature and being outdoors. I like camping and music festivals. I like to sit and observe. I like airports. I like starry nights and lying on the grass. I like poetry and being read to. I like surprises. I like desserts. I like learning new things and meeting new people. I like encounters with old friends and the feeling that no time has passed. I like discovering new friends in strangers. I like ice-cream and beaches in winter. I like beaches in summer. I like beaches. I like sunrises and full days. I like random smells that transport me to warm memories. I like scuba diving and I like chocolate. I like the excitement of opening a new book and the uncertainty of fresh starts. I like adventures. I like people and stories. I like liking things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I love reading. Every time I finish a good book I have the feeling of saying goodbye to a good friend. Since poetry and prose to the text of cereal boxes, if it's good the feeling of it will remain with me for a long time. Some of my favourite books are: The God of Small Things (Arundhati Roy); To Kill a Mocking Bird (Harper Lee); 1984 and Animal Farm (George Orwell); The Sea Wolf (Jack London); Kafka on the shore (Haruki Murakami); Brave New World (Aldous Huxley); Metamorphosis (Franz Kafka); Shantaram (G. D. Roberts); Shel Silverstein; almost everything from José Saramago and José Luis Peixoto and more and more...

Movies: Into the Wild, Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amelie, Big Fish, Once, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Jeux d'Enfant, La Môme, Princesas, Mustang, Untouchable, José e Pilar, Mommy , The Salesman, The Reader, De rouille et d'os, The life of others;

Music: It's impossible to choose, I love music and live performances. If it's good I can listen pretty much any style. Try me. :)

- Scuba diving in Japanese wrecks from the WWII;
- Being researched and interrogated for almost 5 hours in the Jordan/Israel border after 3 days without showering - that was not the reason- and being called terrorist (Ok, this is not amazing but is surely unforgettable) ;
- "Couch"surfing in a Cave near Petra and in the desert of Wadi Rum with Beduins
- Silent meditation retreat in a Buddhist monastery;
- Waking up;
...
