About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Slowly making my way around the world, one great country at a time...

ABOUT ME

I'm from New Zealand, and like many travellers I meet who have visited, I love my little piece of the world. However, for almost as long as I can remember, I've had this strong need to see and experience more than just a little island in the South Pacific. The way I figure it, if I go home with a wider understanding of the world, maybe I will understand myself a little better too.

Or, maybe I've just got a dire case of the ol' travel bug and there's only one cure...

Currently, I'm studying in Spain and travelling around Europe when I have time off!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During the time I lived in a flat in Auckland, New Zealand, my flatmates and I hosted a number of couchsurfers from around the world and every experience was a positive one. Being exposed to all these fascinating people from all walks of life without even walking out your door is awesome!

Interests

I enjoy people!, more specifically, I enjoy people who enjoy people ;)

Hailing from New Zealand and being somewhat of a serious athlete up until recently (Rowing), I enjoy the outdoors, nature and feeling my lungs burn.

A few other big loves of my life would be good food (can't live without it, so might as well make it f**king fantastic!), Art, specifically painting and sculpture (I spent a year at art school, just realised my passion maybe wasn't up to the standard of my single-minded colleagues...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing!? Out of my whole life? That is a tricky one...

I will say this (and I'm sure other teachers will reiterate), walking into a classroom and having all the students look at you, ready and willing to learn something they value is an amazing thing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Indonesia, Peru, Tonga

Countries I’ve Lived In

Ecuador, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Scotland, Spain
