Music, Movies, and Books

I love old bad sci-fi movies, which seem to be everywhere on YT, and I love the documentaries there too. I read books (old school). I like to turn the tech off and just focus on quiet time reading. I am currently reading about British explorer Captain James Cook - the navigator, cartographer, and captain in the Royal Navy. It's a captains log, which offers an interesting point of view of the cultures he experienced as he experienced them. For music, I love jazz fusion and really old baroque music - instrumental.

I started my career as a performing musician from 1984-1993.

Teach, Learn, Share

Dinner is always a winner. I'll cook or buy. Also, I used to teach bass and guitar and music production. I don't play much any more, but would be up for teaching and demonstrating some music theory and picking techniques if you provide a guitar or bass. It's like riding a bike - I still have all my old licks and techniques, but I can build blisters on the ends of my fingers in just 10 minutes of hard playing. Like riding a bike, this is easily overcome by playing daily and slowly building calluses and endurance.
