About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Bum around the world while learning to become a sustainable farmer.

ABOUT ME

I've worked on organic farms in Maine, Washington, Virginia and drove tractors for 2 years in Western Massachusetts. Prior to farming, I worked on the Appalachian Trail in New Hampshire for 3 seasons on a trail crew. Days consisted of swinging an axe and creating staircases out of boulders. And hiking; lots of hiking! Between seasons on Trail Crew, I took 4 major trips. In 2009, I traveled trough Central America from Panama to Mexico. In 2010, I hitch hiked down the West Coast from Seattle to San Diego. In the spring of 2011, I went down to Mexico (where I was born) and also to Cuba. Later that summer I flew up to Alaska & took a ferry down to Washington. I went to school in the Adirondacks for biology; graduated in 2008.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm spending my time learning skills that will come in handy in a post oil future. At the same time I'm trying to enjoy the benefits of cheap fossil fuels for as long as they last by traveling to far off places that I may never get the chance to see again.
