I am a mother of 5 grown up children and now that they are older I would love to travel again to meet new people and discover new countries.
I love doing crafts such as knitting, crochet, felting, and spinning. I am vegan since Nov'16 but was cooking vegan for two of my children since 9 years and so had a long 'transition' time. My goal is to become raw vegan and I hope to get to know people who would inspire me getting there :-) I use mainly organic produce and try to use it as fresh as I can, i.e. mill my own flour for baking. Basically, my family and I eat a whole food plant based diet.

I am new to gardening, but would love to grow more of my own foods, besides sprouting ;)
I try to use natural and eco-friendly products wherever possible, for example wash nuts for our laundry or making my own cleaning or body care products.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my sons is a couch surfer since 2011 and I was so happy to learn that he found great people when he travelled around New Zealand that I would like to give back to the community and also try it out for myself. I always loved to travel and make new friends. I also used to host language students from around the world and it's just great to learn about different cultures and have fun together! The best thing is you become friends with some!!

Teach, Learn, Share

We could make stick bread and sit around a fire, grind flour and make fresh wholemeal bread, or cook a vegan meal. If you fancy learning/speaking German, that's also no problem. I could also teach my crafts if interested (knitting, crochet, felting, silk painting, spinning with drop spindle).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you how to bake bread, teach you knitting, crochet or felting. Please ask me to bring my drop spindle in advance if you would like to try. You can also learn some German.
