About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying the recreational possibilities of where I am now and contemplating the next chapter.

ABOUT ME

To fully experience life, I must keep inventing myself and manifesting adventure through new experience. I admire the people that marvel at a rainbow every time one appears. I want never to become complacent about the miraculous.

PHILOSOPHY

Challenge myself to overcome my fears and do what is necessary for optimum living.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have most enjoyed surfers who occasionally welcomed my company during a portion of their stay while exploring. I use public transportation so can assist with info to get guests to their destinations. I like to welcome CSs, but expect the CS will have a plan for the times I am not home, their transportation, and their meals. Surfers can use the kitchen for light meal prep.

Music, Movies, and Books

TV is unlikely, but I do enjoy an occasional movie. Books are usually for personal enrichment in a spiritual vein with authors like Eckhart Tolle and easy fiction for distraction, currently reading Sandra Brown novels. Love the teachings of Abraham, as channeled through Esther Hicks, via youtube video.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A herd of kangaroos all looking at me, instantly alert to my presence. Fairy penguins on the jetty at St. Kilda at dusk under a lamppost. A v in the water coming closer, then, like a spring uncoiled, one pops out of the water, onto a rock and patiently looks around at the humans, hops up, up and up to its nest in the rocks.

Teach, Learn, Share

One of the best things about staying with a local resident when I was in Australia was that he had bus and train schedules and knew the bargains. On sunday's I could go anywhere on the train system for $2.50...and the buses were free if you bought a train ticket. Pretty cool info, right off the bat. That opened up a lot of possibilities.
I would like to be that kind of hostess; one that can point a surfer in the right direction upon their arrival, so they don't spend all their time figuring out how to get there.
