ABOUT ME
Recently moved from Seattle to Amherst, Mass to start a PhD in Community Health Education. I study mental wellness in rural and Indigenous communities like my home community in Oklahoma.
I love Oklahoma and will try to convince you to visit if you'll let me.
PHILOSOPHY
"In the end we will only conserve what we love. We will only love what we understand. We will only understand what we are taught." --Baba Dioum
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Through couchsurfing, I have met pop culture mag editors in Madrid, trekking guides in the Sahara, and free spirited vagabonds in Gibraltar. There is no feeling of welcomeness like being invited into another person's life and home. I feel so lucky to have had many lovely experiences in this community
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have technically been couchsurfing most of my life, but I started formally "couchsurfing" (using the website) years ago on a backpacking trip in Spain and Morocco.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hunted cheeky monkeys with slingshots and marbles, motorcycled through a cloud forest, chased a lizard, kissed a parrot, cultivated a garden by hand.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like research and science in general. I study public health. I am a proud citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, and I do beadweaving with glass beads, mostly earrings. The nexus of art and science fascinates me. I love playing board games and talking about weird shit.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to cook you a meal and get to know you! Very easy going and down for most anything.
