Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel close, far and wide and meet people along the way who are different, similar and most importantly to share a human experience.
ABOUT ME
Love adventure and seeing new places even if its close by. As I get older, things become less and less important to me. I plan to see much more of what this world has to offer and hope to meet some amazing people that will inspire me in different ways.
I am open-minded, can be quiet until comfortable, Simple yet complex and open to discuss any topic with the hopes of understanding both sides and can agree to disagree. I seek meaningful friendships and exchanges, adventure and new experiences.
PHILOSOPHY
A wise old friend recently told me:
"An idle mind is the devils playpen".
Mind the gaps and watch them closely.
Spread the love but choose your friends wisely.
Love yourself to love your family,
And find the difference between wants and needs.
Be sure to stop and count your blessings,
Smell the roses and fight for something.
To drown hate like a stone,
And walk the path overgrown.
Never to lay awake,
And if so for goodness sake.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I respect everyone's beliefs as long as it brings no harm to others. I hope to meet the kind of folks who strive to understand one another and challenge their own belief systems to conclude that love is all that matters.
Interests
Hiking, exploring, skiing, cliff jumping, waterfalls, cooking, finding a good hole in the wall restaurant, biking, beer and wine tasting, tennis, disc golf, minimalism...
Music, Movies, and Books
Last book I read was the Educated and currently reading Underground Railroad
Music taste is constantly evolving and expanding. Always interested in seeing local artists often. Especially love Americana music such as Tim Barry, Chuck Ragan and Frank Turner and Punk music like Against Me, Bad Religion and the Menzingers etc. Last mainstream concert I attended was Kenny Loggins in 2022. On an embarrassing note....I still love 80's music...:)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I use to think how much I have been missing when I had never left my own country, but there are many amazing things to see and do in all of our own backyards. You just got to look for them!
Kayaking in Alaska on a secluded island near a Glacier where icebergs and growlers were all around while gliding about.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be happy to help out with anything including cleaning or anything else I'm capable of. I think the idea here is an exchange of time and sharing a conversation.
