the reader's digest version of me: lived near toronto for 20 years, florida for one year, vancouver for 9 years, back to torontoish for 4 years, been in china 5 years. my work experience includes the hospitality industry, sales and education. i work and travel with my girlfriend of 1.5 years, i have mediocre chinese language skills despite my being here for so long, i didnt have a beer gut before i came to china but now i do, i didnt smoke tobacco before i came to china but now i do, i was bald before i got to china, i like laughing and helping others laugh and i just sneezed before i wrote this sentence.

PHILOSOPHY

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i was recommended to this site by a buddy of mine named JP...he and our mutual friend fat tony swear by this site and since i've 'hosted' both of them in the past and all was well, i thought i'd give this a try cuz hey, who doesn't like making new friends? by the way, jp (jp coakley) and fat tony (tony nahrung)are VERY groovy fonzies.

i'm interested in socializing, martial arts, dancing, playing pool, computer games, chess, drinking beer, playing in water, playing on frozen water (hockey, tobogganing, snowboarding etc) playing catch (frisbee, baseball etc.) my girlfriend is interested in fashion design, singing, playing guitar, socializing and being creative.

movies: wow....anybody who's lived in china for a while knows this is a tough question. gotta LOVE the pirated DVD scene...so, instead of giving favourites, i'll give most recently watched, as of sept 12, 2008: hulk 2, hellboy 2, wanted, the dark knight, 21, 4400 series, the love guru ...

music: i usually dig on chillout grooves or classic rock.

books: haha....i forget what's it's like to actually, physically turn paper pages here in china...not a lot of english books in the places of lived in china, hence...

most amazing thing done: i'd have to say conception was a pretty big deal for me. i'm not saying i remember it but wow....that's fucking amazing...i can't believe that, out of a billion sperm....I was the fastest...and I made it into the egg...koo koo kachoo

most amazing thing seen: i'd have to go with the 'etch-a-sketch'...does anyone really know how they work? the slinky would be a close second...
