About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to spend more time with my grandbabies and have some fun.
ABOUT ME
I'm part of a "we". My husband doesn't know about this yet but I think he'll like it. It's a good idea and my daughter has had great experiences so we're diving in, if cautiously.
Me: Grandma and PROUD of it! I've got 2 here and another grandchild in BC. I work full time, sometimes more but I won't be doing that forever. Which is where you come in. I'd like to see what more is out there. If you're planning in advance to help a little around the place, I'd love to come home to a nice meal, especially if it's a cultural specialty.
Floyd: He's just as excited about the Grandkids as I am and can't wait until they're bigger so he can show them all the neat stuff he can do. He's a farmer and also indispensable at our local Bumper to Bumper. He can make anything whether it's from wood or metal or simply making your horse or car go. He loves giving advice and staying up late with scotch and chocolate especially to a keen audience.
PHILOSOPHY
You can do it if you try. If it gets you down, don't think about it. Keep moving forward. There's so much to love about the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My daughter thinks I should do this for a little adventure. She knows I love to travel even though I don't very much and having people to my home would be interesting. I'd like to meet some people from other countries and learn some new things and be inspired.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far all I've had the chance to do is be nervous about it. I'll update this when I have something more to tell you.
Interests
Grandchildren. Very amateur gardening and birding. Farm hospitality. Also, I love a great deal.

Music, Movies, and Books
I believe the answer to that would be: Yes please. but nothing corny, thank you.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was there when my Granddaughter was born. I was a big part of my childrens wedding days. I've been amazed by wonderful people all my life.
The most amazing thing I've done in recent-ish history is climb the hill from Molly's Reach out of Gibsons and north along the Sunshine Coast hwy on a bike with only one gear.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can tell you lots about how to support someone who's suffering. I can help empower people. I'm an excellent listener. My children find that my instincts are very good. I can often see where a situation is going to go. Which would sound like it makes me a good counsellor, and I guess I am that. Other than professional stuff I do like to dabble. Currently I'm trying out hooping. It's pretty fun(ny) but I'm enjoying the crowd.
