Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's nice to meet people from all over the world, but also to give people the opportunity to visit Rotterdam on a budget, and getting to experience Dutch hospitality (which, contrary to tenacious rumors, exists).

Interests

I love reading books (mainly US history and travel), watching movies (all kinds, except maybe horror or thrillers), playing cooperative board games, and strolling through the city.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy movies with manic pixie dream girls, like Adam, My Sassy Girl, Elizabethtown; or other semi-smart, upbeat movies like Saved!, Pleasantville, Shine or Perks of being a wallflower. Also, I have a collection of Civil War movies.

I also have a relatively large collection of books, ranging from animal rights (I'm a vegan, but not an activist), American history, philosophy, and travel memoirs.

I listen mainly to bluegrass and country music, like Turnpike Troubadours, The Steeldrivers, Mandolin Orange, and Kacey Musgraves.

A four-week road trip through the American Southeast, with my dad.
