About Me
Hi everyone!
My name is Raul, I am a 28 yo Mexican guy, I got the travel bug some years ago, moved to Australia and have been trying to keep exploring the world.
I work as an urban designer and collect scale models of emblematic architecture. Love photography and long purposeless walks.
I live with my partner in Melbourne and we have a beautiful, modern yet cozy apartment. we are happy to welcome travellers and new expats while they settle in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling is not only about exploring new places but also about meeting new people and closely experiencing the place's culture.
We've found in CouchSurfing an amazing platform to meet people likeminded from all around the world. We are more than happy to host travellers for a couple of days and show them a bit of what this beautiful city has to offer.
Soon we will be fully transitioning to digital nomads and we'd love to meet new people to share experiences with.
Interests
I'm passionate about architecture, design and photography.
Have either of two moods, indoors: movies, video games and chill
...and outdoors: hiking, climbing, surfing, or doing anything adventurous.
Love dining out and trying new restaurants, dishes and cuisines; especially with friends!
Also, we recently started a travel visual blog -feel free to follow us on Instagram @tie_your_shoelace- XD

Music, Movies, and Books
There is at least one good song in every genre, I guess it depends on the day's mood but I usually lean towards the poppy beats. I also appreciate jazz, blues, rock, and many of the alternative sounds.
I enjoy reading, adventure and mythological books are my favourite ones, also like reading about F@#ked up dystopian worlds like in "Brave New World", which is my favourite book so far.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well... travelling and exploring are always amazing, especially with all the magical places around. But moving to Australia and leaving everything behind was one of the best adventures I've ever had.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyone has something to share, and I have many yummy cake recipes :)
I'd love to learn more about wolrd's food and traditions around it!
