About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To solve a Luscious Dilemma, and help to save my father's life.
ABOUT ME
I am an artist who has worked in many media over the last 20 years. I am esp. proud of having been a professional welder/fabricator for 5 years, but had to stop due to injury.
I have worked in metal, fiberglass, drawing, writing, Super 8 film, figure work in clay, been a miniature sculptor for a gaming company, flamenco dancer, photographers rep, museum administrator, etc.
But at essence, be it visible or invisible, I think, as one of my artworks declares, "I am flamenco".
I live with my beloved Russian boyfriend and marvel daily about how my country used to villify his, and somehow, miraculously, the walls fell and I got to meet him later in life. I like that life can surprise us in amazing ways, that global seeming impossibilities become possible.
back to the personal: I am now an expert at Russian banya and am a queen of the cold plunge.
I joined couchsurfers as I am moving into a travel phase of life, and am hoping to both deepen and broaden my connections to like-minded, and completely different, souls.
hmmm..more reflections....some words I feel kinship with or admiration for: the noble quest, transformation, transmutation, communion, dreamers, warriors, poets, lovers, child-like, salts of the earth, spontaneity, earnestness, passion....
PHILOSOPHY
Live, let live, and care. We are all sharing a great mystery. Let's help each other as we move through it, share as love, fun, adventure, and laughter along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offer get-togethers in Seattle-coffee, banya, a drink.
I promote and defend CS to the general public all of the time. Unofficial CS Marketer. It amazes me how few people actually know about this amazing "place". And it also amazes me how much convincing it can take to make it seem like a good idea to people. Sharing in the way that CS cultivates is phenomenal, and I feel a step toward a prettier future...
don't have a couch to offer as I live with my seriously introverted boyfriend who needs a lot of quiet. I hope to participate by hosting outings for CS'rs visiting the Seattle area.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
CS'd in Oahu with the best possible host ever, Justin Mears! meet him someday if you can. Also hung out with 4 Germans so-surfing with him, and have now hosted coffee and been hosted for coffee with CSrs in Seattle.
CSing: now my favorite way to move in this world. Have subsequently CD's in Arizona several times. Looking forward to someday having a couch to offer up to the world too. I love you CS!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
being the only female fabricator at a high-end architectural fabrication shop. i worked daily in wonder at the strike of an electric arc and the instantaneous pooling of steel with a cast of characters worthy of an HBO mini series.
Working even as a neophyte in the world of qi, I have been party to healings within minutes that have boggled my mind, and flooded me with gratitude. Recently working with my Dad, I was graced to watch him gently close his eyes and move into a few moments of spontaneous qi gong which transformed him from an elderly man with Parkinsons and tremor into a creature of such grace and beauty in motion. A happy tears moment...
And back in the rowdy world of physicality, I once road a two-up race bike with a pro racer at ORP. I had watched Moto GP for years and amazingly my body knew already how to lean in, though I'd never been on a race bike before. It was pure candy and a dream come true!
