About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live totally in the now!
ABOUT ME
I've grown a lot in the last 2 years that i have been traveling. I write, and keep journals of my adventures. It pleases me to read back on things I have experienced and notice the shift in my thinking, especially after the many amazing people I have met and learned from. For the most part I'm a happy and positive person and enjoy surrounding myself with like minded people. I have a lot of love to give, and you can often find me smiling and happy. I don't believe in limitations in life, rather I believe that within every obstacle there is just a choice that needs to be made. I try to flow with life and not fight against it. I don't believe in accidents or coincidence, everything plays out as it should, all you can do is your best, and enjoy the ride! No regrets!
PHILOSOPHY
If we can choose our thoughts and beliefs, then why choose ones that are counter productive?? Laugh at yourself and at life and nothing can touch you :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've CS in Argentina, Belgium, London, Swisso land, Israel, and have hosted a bunch of my traveling friends, when I have been there. Not all these experiences were registered through the site, however, it's the same deal. I've attended some fun events with the Buenos Aires CS community and one event in Warsaw.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I think the concept is brilliant. It works. It brings people together, and I would have never met the wonderful people I have met had it not been for CS. Best way to meet like minded, open people and have fun. LOVING IT!
Interests
Traveling!! But that goes with out saying. Writing, dancing, and the Spanish language (I suck at it, but I'm an Aussie, so it's the only way I can speak and roll my tongue... I'm a freak I know.) Other than that, theater, music and art will always have a special place in my heart. Singing loudly in the car; although my skill level is questionable; always makes me happy. The beach! I love the beach, any beach as I think it has powers to make all the shitty things melt away. Water & sand, great combo. Small things please me, so I guess that means I have a small mind, but seriously, the simple things in life are awesome. Most things and situations can make me laugh, so I guess I like doing that too. I also like people with opinions and ideas, that like to share them, as after all knowledge is worthless unless passed on and practiced.

Music, Movies, and Books
Uff, where do I begin...
Music- Anything with a beat I can dance to. I love Latin music, anything salsa, samba, reggae, reggae ton, dance hall you name it, I love it. Soul music like Maxwell, Aretha, India Ari, Lauren Hill, Erykah Badu, D'Angelo, Anthony Hamilton,Ayo, Nneka... there are so many, I love it all. Then there's Bob Dylan (who I saw perform in Buenos Aires.. great moment), The gypsie kings, Buena Vista Social club, Mana, Alanis, Bill Withers, Tracy Chapman, the fugee's, Stevie Wonder, Santana, love a bit of UB40, Marvin Gaye... I give up, its impossible to name it all.
Movies, in no particular order- Labyrinth, Pans Labyrinth, Pulp Fiction, any movie Will Farrel has stared in or participated in, Amelie, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Into the Wild, Wizard of Oz, V for Vendetta, Austin Powers trilogy, Almost famous, Forest Gump, Inside Man, Closer, Under the Tuscan sun
(this is exhausting, I'll have to come back to this section)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed a volcano for 7 hours, with 7 fantastic people, to watch a lunar eclipse from the highest point in Panama. I saw a MILLION stars, the most beautiful orange moon change before my eyes, and to top it off, below us we saw a natural fire works show. Anyone ever seen electrical storm, from above? Priceless.
Another was ice climbing in Pucon, Chile at 4am to see the sun rise over the mountains. Amazing! Only then to sit at the mouth of a live volcano that sent vibrations through my body. Breath-taking!
The next one also involved a volcano, but this time it was in Guatemala. I lit my ciggie in flowing lava, whilst watching a group of prepared and crazy people cook chicken and marshmellos over the lava. I was trying to be a show off, and pose for a photo with my feet on either side of a stream of molten lava, when i smelt burning rubber and hair. It was only then i realised I had melted my hiking boots to the ground, as well as singed of the hairs on my arms and legs. That was a spectacular moment in my life, realising the utter power of Mother Nature. The heat, the brutal force of the lava... brilliant!
There are so many more.... but I think stories are always better in person.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe you can't say you have lived until you have seen how other people do it. I'm out there in the wild learning, and absorbing all I can.
I've seen many things and had many wonderful experiences, I'm well read, and well traveled, if there's something you would like to know, I'm always open to passing it on.
