ABOUT ME

Traveling is part of my life. I started when I was 15 and haven't stopped since. Although based in Melbourne Australia, there is much scope to work and travel the globe!

From food (wine & cheese gets an honorable mention :), music, sports (that challenge the body and mind), fast cars and living.

I enjoy many facets of life and what it has to offer. I believe you have to take advantage of opportunities presented and make the most of it!

I love meeting new people, the travelers at heart who enjoy sharing experiences and stories alike.

I also like wood (merbau especially, haha - inside joke, you'll have to stay and then you'll understand why the merbau) Working with wood and tools (I can't get enough :) It's great to start something and then sit back and have a drink and appreciate the fruits of your hard labour.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted and attended some great events around Melbourne but hope to get to some International events too. I might have a couch for the avid traveller/s with lots of tales and a savoury dish or two

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've only hosted but in that itself, have been very fortunate to have met some really great people. From single travelers to great couples!

It has been a wonderful meeting of CS'ers and through it made some life long friends.

I'm looking forward to what 2011 and beyond has to offer and brings to our couch!

Interests

traveling is a must do :) experiencing cultures and seeing the real side of places (not so much the touristy stuff), motor sport (me being a part of it is a bonus) otherwise water, dirt and track is all the go (for the machinery, not the people who follow it :) lol) Music (all genres), food (wine & cheese must get an honorable mention)!

Music, Movies, and Books

All music stimulates the senses. Try not be closed to this fact so that all the interesting good music out there gets a chance.

Writing often is inspired by my travels and short stories and poems have found there way to paper. It allows those moments and trivial things to be noted and years down the track, turned over and brought to light again.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The great treks and extreme sports in Nepal to the crazy bike ride from Southern to Northern India was memorable. Also the 2 month walk through the Rockies in Canada was breath taking. (Alone in the wilderness can really make you appreciate life) and the base jumping in New Zealand was literally breath taking :) There have been many interesting places and even the hustle bustle of the busy Bangkok markets to the serene Greek Islands - so much more to see!

Experiences with travel, education (from an open discussion point) always interesting to see how people take on work, studies and education and move about the real world.
