About Me

ATTENTION PLEASE! I usually live in Chiang Mai, Thailand, but I'm travelling at the moment, so I can't host. :)

"Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suite on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that?"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling (surprise!) and meeting nice people along the way. :)

Interests

Travelling, reading, history, photography, hiking, philosophy, science, languages, music, urban exploration, animals... And trying everything (at least) once. :)
I'm a slow traveller and I'm always up for improvised plans. No bucket list for me! I'm more interested in local culture than in monuments.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Erm... I met Dave Mustaine, saw AC/DC in the front row, bungee jumped, saw an Iberian lynx (the most endangered and one of the most beautiful cat species in the world), discovered a little of the incredible and complex Russia, watched the sunset over the Li River in Yangshuo (China), got hooked on Zhongdian (almost Tibet), and... at some point stopped worrying about the future.

Teach, Learn, Share

My lesson for you: frequently the capital is not the best place in each country, and far from it. Spain's a good example of that!

Seriously, I'll be glad to help you improve your Spanish, if you come to terms with the fact that I'm a real grammar nazi. ;) I could also teach you some delicious Spanish cooking basics.

Learn? I'm interested in many different things! Languages (right now Thai, and I'll hopefully take up Chinese again some day), scuba diving, mechanics, playing guitar, climbing, surfing, flying... are a few examples.
