About Me

CURRENT MISSION

1.Live and work in Edinburgh (ie find a job and a home) 2. Work on my Scottish accent

ABOUT ME

Just finished travelling around Europe and loved every minute of it! Meeting new people and experiencing completely different cultures is something I've always thrived on. It's amazing how travel gives you things in common with people you'd otherwise never meet.

Got a flat in Edinburgh now, and although we can't host yet I'm super keen to meet any travellers coming through - to share stories or explore some of this beautiful city with!

As for myself, I'm an optimistic, friendly person who loves a good coffee and getting lost in new places. Currently trying to learn to play e guitar!

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy getting lost!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosted quite a few people from all corners of the earth while I was back in NZ! Now I've finally been able to couchsurf myself and really loved it :)

Interests

I love new places, people and experiences. I love any and every watersport.I love drinking in the sun. I'm a firm believer in black coffee. I will read almost anything. I'm into anything that's new and exciting, as well as some things that are old and exciting (ie johnny depp).I love biking on flat surfaces.

Music, Movies, and Books

I will read anything and everything (including the back of a cereal box) but my favourites involve either sea voyages (ie hornblower), prison escapes (ie papillon, count of monte christo), or have an unexpected ending (ie every Jodi Piccoult book ever written). All time favourite is 'The History of Love' by Nicole Krauss.

I like an odd assortment of films, but generally anything funny is a winner. Nothing with Nicholas cage please.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cheesy as it is, one of my favourite moments was on the Greek island Santorini. Some friends and I hired quad bikes for the day, and just before dark we took the bikes up to Oia - a beautiful part of town high up on a cliff - and had a delicious dinner overlooking the sea while watching the sunset. Definitely one of those moments you keep going back to!
