There is something in travelling.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been fascinated by the multitude of cultural immersion opportunities provided by international travel.

My initial drive to engage in international exploration is rooted in my father’s trip to Peru at the age of 19, where he set out to better understand both cultural differences as well as identifying cultural universes.

Ever since, my ambition to explore different cultures and learn about different idiosyncrasies has only become stronger. After finally being rewarded the opportunity to spend time abroad, I plan to travel to Europe along with a friend who shares many of these interests. During our time there, we aspire to continue our love for playing music, learn the inner-workings of another culture, as well as meet a bunch of new people from all walks of life.

I created a profile on Couchsurfing hoping to meet new people across a variety of cultures with the intention of expanding my understanding of our world, and gain flexibility in engaging in different practices. As an individual who is passionate about creating, performing, and listening to music, if the experience is joined by good music, way better then!

Music, Movies, and Books

While I enjoy most types of music, Funk, folk, indie, jazz, fusion, and rock are among my favorite genres. As for films, I especially enjoy Wes Anderson, but am also passionate about other forms of entertainment, such as theatre.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really enjoy learning languages and history. Therefore, I plan on continuing to pursue those two subject areas. Additionally, I would like to place an emphasis on learning about culture and music, two other main passions of mine.
While I am especially interested in increasing my cultural awareness, I also look forward to sharing my culture and music with others.
