About Me

I'm an extremely political person and actively engage where I can with grass-roots movements to improve people's lives and fight against oppression, capitalism and state control.
I currently volunteer for a community helping refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants generally, to fight against the home office, and live in the UK.

Interests

My interests involve meeting new people, doing new things, going new places, hearing new ideas and sharing my experiences with anyone who will listen. I love to travel but don't have enough time or money to do it as often as i would like.

Other obvious hobbies include: drinking, talking, laughing and getting out and about.

Music, Movies, and Books

I will listen to pretty much any form of music, listening to a lot of klezmer and gypsy at the moment but also loving to go back to those songs my mum raised me on. Big fan of different types of folk, rock and dance and you'll probably find me having a laugh in all sorts of venues on nights out, from listening to some spoken word and acoustic at a quiet venue to dancing uncontrollably to some heavy dirty dubstep.
I will watch any film that's not a horror, although i do like some of those too. Favourite films include Persepolis, In Bruges, , Mean Girls, 10 things I hate about you and La Haine.
I'm not much of a fiction reader, but I have shelves of books on political and social theory and history. I will however never forget the classics, the very hungry caterpillar and where the wild things are.
