ABOUT ME

It's hard to write about myself. I consider myself a simple person, that enjoy simple things in life. I'm really easygoing and quite a night person. I laugh a lot, I have a great sense of humor and enjoy good company. I think of myself more as a listener but sometimes is hard to shut me up. I'm honest, ussualy more honest to others than to myself. I hate lies and sometimes is really hard for me to forgive.
Likes and dislikes are detailed below. How do I look you can tell from the pictures (actually I´m older and I gain some weight, so probably I should update my pictures).
I´m a person...a human being as hopefully you are. I live in a tinny lovely country which you should definitely visit. I´m a terrible tourist guide so don´t expect me to know facts about my country. I can´t care less about statistics, coordinates, politics, economics and all the things most people care about or talk about. You can call me an ignorant if you want I can´t care less about that too. I live life. I embrace life. I enjoy life. And yes its maybe a selfish attitude. I don´t consider myself selfish in most aspects of my life, I might say I´m pretty generous. I would say I´m not socially committed. I guess is that. And yes, sometimes it bothers me but I don´t do much about it. Writing down thoughts, sorry. We have gorgeous beaches, great people, amazing landscapes, perfect sky, most amazing view of the milky way and many other things. We have great meat, great ¨mate¨, tango and ¨dulce de leche¨. We have ¨candombe¨ (actually they have because even though is typical form here I don´t like it that much :P). Well, I guess I lost focus here. You will have to meet me in order to know more about me :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I usually go to our weekly meetings. All of them. For 4 years. I used to send invitations to the meeting to all the nearby travelers. I guess I should do that again. I host when I have time and I´m on the mood of having guest. I like to spend time with my guest. To walk the city with them and to discover new perspectives of the same old places. I like to share some meal, some beer, to talk about life, to laugh a lot, to somehow get to know the other, in any aspect, maybe just to get to know someone´s sense of humor of favorite color would do it. Surfing. I like to stay with locals, to go where locals go, to live the city or town as a local. I like sharing . I like to be amazed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great ones, crazy ones, all of them are different. I hosted many times, been hosted many times, go to meetings and events. I would say I participate actively. Many of my very best friends came out from CS. Only that would have been enough to consider CS a great experience.

Interests

Things I like: The smell of wet dust after the rain, raindrops falling on a window, thunder storms far away, sleep with somebody by my side in stormy nights. Autumn, its particular scent, being inside a car heated by autumn sun. The sea. Calm, crazy, green, blue, turquoise, staring at it, better if is cold outside. Floating upside down, with the sound of the sea in your ears. Play in the waves felling I can fly for a few seconds. Fish that likes red toenails and tickle you. Noctilucas. Leave a bioluminescent mark on the sand when you walk. Splash light, itchy light. To sit on the sand and bury my hands on it when is completely dry. Collect green stones and get them wet to be even greener. Sunrises and sunsets. Moonrise in Cabo Polonio, huge, orange as a night sun. Perfectly clean sky. Clouds like cotton or shaped clouds. Dark nights full of stars. To lay down in the sand by night, staring at the sky and get the feeling of falling into it. To walk barefoot on the grass. To lay down on it and listen to music. The smell of freshly cut grass. The wind in my face. Get my head out of the car window, close my eyes and feel my hair flying or get my hand out and move it making waves. Fireflies. To grab a ¨guitarrero¨ (Compsocerus violaceus) in my hand, put it close to my ear and hear the music. Armadillo bugs. Play softly with them as if they were little balls. Butterflies.

Things I dislike: To be afraid at night and sleep with the lights on. The right side of my bed empty. Hangovers. Not knowing how to say no. Being fragile. To pretend to be strong just because. Pain. Other people suffering. Psychological abuse. People who think to have a degree in human relations. To dress in light colors. A short skirt being the cause of a totally repulsive comment. Consumer society to the extreme. Others to tell me what material things I need to be happy when I know perfectly well that I need nothing more than what I have. Foolish rain, when you don´t get wet but you hair bristles. Women who talk too much about their hair. Bad breath in the morning. People who try to find me a boyfriend, I don´t need it, I don´t want it most of the time. Violence. Ideologies or anything that values ​​human life so little. Elderly deterioration. Death, I have panic of it. People that suffer life instead of living life. People who plays with people, who uses people. People who think to own the truth. Lies, I hate them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ok, here. Music. I love it. Most time I have no clue who is singing or the name of the song, even though I sing the lyrics. I don´t care who is singing. I don´t need it in order to know if I like a song. What´s in my ipod right now? Artic monkeyes, Bebe, Dido, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, The Strokes, Regina Spektor, Dido, The white stripes, Catupecu machu, The cure, Bajofondo, Black eyes peas, David Guetta, Depeche mode, Estelares, Mika, Trainspotting soundtrack...depending on my mood is the soundtrack I choose for my life.
Movies and books: Is more or less the same as with songs. I read a lot, more than I watch movies, but in any case I know when I like a book or a movie after I finish it. Later I will forget. I can read a book or watch a movie many times because I will find things I didn´t remember or completely new things I didn´t pay attention before. Amelie is a great example. Watch it more than 5 times and I could watch it again right now.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know if whistling can be considered as a skill to teach, neither sleeping. Not sure about finding double meaning in any sentence is something anybody would be interested in learning. Maybe enjoy life, I guess I'm good at it. Laughing. My friends say I laugh like a pirate.Learning... I'm open to learning. Playing drums would be awesome. I have my time to share, my friends, my bars, my common places with common people. My smile for yours. :)
