About Me
CURRENT MISSION
World Domination!
ABOUT ME
Lumberjacks and maple syrup. What else do you need to know about Canadians? Hockey stick in one hand, guitar in the other - we are a simple breed.
I'm a university student completing two bachelor degrees, one in geography and the other in history. Last year the draw of adventure in Europe brought me to Berlin under the auspices of a student exchange, needless to say very little studying was done. It was one of the best experiences of my life and I'm still getting used to being back home in Vancouver.
My long meander through university, punctuated by a four-year break, has led me to work in several different industries, as well as with federal and provincial governments in Canada. I would say I have followed an unconventional life-timeline, to say the least, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It's my ride to take, and I'm having fun through it all!
PHILOSOPHY
To seek balance in all things, with reason, pragmatism, and compassion as a moral compass... and, occasionally, throwing caution to the wind, doing things to excess, and defying all logic in the name of adventure. This is my religion!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just returned to Vancouver and I'm ready to start hosting! My schedule's all over the place but drop me a line and I'll be happy to accommodate you if possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was overwhelmed by my very first surfing experience in Basel. I was given a warm welcome by complete strangers and had such a great time.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read a fair bit and enjoy good film and a variety of music; there is simply too much to list here!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drove across Canada/US in a poorly maintained '89 Nissan Micra
Hiked a mountain at dawn to watch the sunrise over the Dead Sea
Skiing Whistler's peak in -30C with 80km/hr winds!
Teach, Learn, Share
I really think CS can play an important role in the lives of others by fostering greater intercultural understanding. CS is doing an excellent job promoting and simplifying increased communication and interaction between people from around the world. Traveling is so much more than a map and hotel reservation!
