Présentation
À propos de moi
Hey! I’m Tokhy. Egyptian, based in London where I work as a software engineer. Outside work I make music, play chess, research math for fun, and write a blog. Low-key guest, curious traveler, easy to hang with :)!
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
Hotels feel sterile. I’d rather see a city through someone who actually lives in it — get the real recommendations, share a meal, swap stories. That exchange is the whole point of travel for me.
Centres d'intérêt
Math, physics, chess, music, cooking, anything software, philosophy, and a little bit of everything:)!
Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Music: anything from Arabic Indie to Daft Punk to Deftones to lo-fi hip hop — I’m across the map. Movies: Villeneuve, PTA, anything by Farhadi. Books: mostly essays and non-fiction lately — Nassim Taleb, Cal Newport, the occasional philosophy detour.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Started a blog years ago that I still write on — long-form personal essays, mostly about identity and whatever I’m processing. It’s grown into a weird little archive of versions of me. Nothing viral, but a few pieces have meant a lot to strangers who reached out, which still feels unreal.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
Can teach: Linux/coding basics, Arabic, how to make a decent Egyptian dish. Want to learn: Italian (beyond my current tourist-level), worldwide recipes, local music scene.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
Good conversation, Egyptian cooking if you’re up for it, music recommendations, and genuine company without being clingy. I respect your space and your schedule — I won’t overstay my welcome or turn your place into my hostel.
Pays que j'ai visités
Egypt, Italy, Thailand, United Kingdom
