About Me
„Freely ye have received, freely give“ (Matthew 10:8)
FOR GUESTS: In the first place, I'd provide some very important information for guests to come: you ain't only gonna get hosted, you’re coming to my family and I'm gonna treat you as my close friends. So please get ready, even if I call you 'madam' or 'sir', I’ll be completely honest and natural with you as if you were my family members.
As a response, I expect open minded and easygoing people with good humor sense, high level of tolerance and flexibility. People, you're coming home, you're allowed to do literally everything, so stay responsible. Otherwise, I'd recommend you a nice hostel in central Yaro, but it's prohibited to post any commercials up here :)
NOW ME: talkative, friendly, hospitable, beginning web engineer, copywriter, former volunteer, Hebrew teacher, project manager, hostel administrator, waiter and carpenter. Got used to traveling since my childhood. I haven't done a lot, but I thank G-d and my parents that I could discover a little piece of the planet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
CS opened this world for me, for sure! Before taking part here I'd thought the Earth ended some 20 km West from Moscow.
Here, I found a lot of acquaintances who made me believe in my dignity, become more flexible and improved my language skills.

This paragraph is supposed to show how cultured I am, but mom told me not to act out a lot =)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once, I went to a synagogue on King David's tomb at mount Zion, Jerusalem, and a local guy working there made me give him the last of my money, a ₪20 bill, as a 'free' donation for the visit; meanwhile, I was planning to buy bus ticket to Tel Aviv. There was no one to host me in Jeru, though there were parks and a warm sea in Tel Aviv. A sleeping bag under the stars was all I needed.
Anyway, I had to stay in Jeru; my hitchhiking skills were nothing against a dark mountain night. Upset, I walked down Jaffa street. Suddenly, I came across a scripture on a board: 'Eat hummus and camp with us!'. There were a few nice guys who offered me a job as a carpenter in exchange for accommodation and free food! It was an art-project under construction, and overall staying there was way better, than the hobo life in Tel Aviv.
I stayed there for a few days, and it was a life changing experience. It was only there that I realized that nothing happens in vain and if you give away something you need, you will always get something back more valuable.
Just keep calm and wait for a miracle.
Teach, Learn, Share
Some tips in learning languages (I used to study many of them in my university). As well, I can say a lot about life in the Middle East, the Balkans and the ex-USSR, share some experience of hitch-hiking.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Experience how to avoid some traps in the Middle East, Balkans and post-Soviet states. And a lot of stories.
