About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find the beauty and elegance in everything.
ABOUT ME
I'm beginning to understand that the goals and aspirations of my past aren't necessarily important to me anymore. I'm not really sure where I'll end up or what I'll end up doing, but I'm trying my best to enrich and enjoy my experience of figuring out the answers to those questions.
I like to hear other people tell their own stories about life and travel, because I feel we all have something to learn from the insights of others.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a vegan, queer, straight-edge atheist. I never push my beliefs onto others, and I don't think that anyone has a right to tell other people what to do.
After having a somewhat bumpy past, I'm often learning new things about myself, about the world, and about what makes me happy and fulfilled. I try my best to keep an open mind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In the past I've hosted much more than I'm surfed, but for the next year or so I'll be travelling and surfing as much as possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met so many extraordinary people from around the world. I can't imagine travelling any other way.
Interests
For a while I studied Mathematics and Computer Science at the university in Louisville. Although I'm not sure whether I'll ever finish those degrees, I still have a strong interest in both of those fields.
My interests are broad and far reaching, so it's likely that, regardless of what you're into, I might be into it too.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading, listening to music, and watching movies. I'm terrible at choosing favorites though, as my tastes have changed so much over time.
Right now I've been reading a lot about environmentalism and sustainability issues, and plowing my way through Infinite Jest (by David Foster Wallace) and Demanding the Impossible (by Peter Marshall).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming in the Mediterranean, walking along the Antrim Coast, star gazing in Palo Duro canyon, watching the Pacific waves in Big Sur, falling in love, becoming myself, and just being alive.
Teach, Learn, Share
Anything that I know I will teach you, and anything you want to teach I'd like to learn it. Or maybe we'll learn something together?
