About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Die, shyness, die!
ABOUT ME
I'm originally from the middle of no where in the great plains of the United States, and after moving around a lot, have been living in Berlin, Germany for the past 5 years or so.
People comment on my laughing a lot, I do it frequently and loudly. I also like colorful socks. And dancing. I'm in love with my bicycle. I like words and language and making things and art and feminism and food.
And of course, meeting new people, learning about their stories, going on adventures, and exploring new places.
PHILOSOPHY
Well, it used to be "Don't Give Up!" But I think I live more by, "Everything will work out, eventually".

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm pretty new to Couchsurfing! I've heard about it for so long, but finally tried it out in Seoul, South Korea, and made some really great friends there. I stayed with them and then they came to Berlin and stayed with me. So cool to see them in both places, we had a great time.

It's been pretty great so far!

Music, Movies, and Books
The last movie I watched was Only Lovers Left Alive, which I liked a lot. I watch more series, these days, though. Breaking Bad, Friday Night Lights, Orphan Black, and of course The Wire is the best of all.
My musical tastes are all over the place. Disco, Funk, Hip Hop, Rock, Electro Pop, Pop... Maybe I'll add a list of bands later.
Books! I remember those! They were before the internet, right? One Hundred Years of Solitude, by Gabriel García Márquez, was one of my favorites. Also, anything by Toni Morrison. I'm reading a book in German right now, called Gebratene Störchen (fried storks), which is a challenge because of all the Berlin dialect in the dialogue. It's pretty funny.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Oh, the pressure! Well, when in Korea last fall, I climbed to the top of Gyeryong Mt. and the view from the top was pretty amazing. I was looking in awe across the valley to the many mountains in the distance when a flock of geese (I think they were geese, large birds, anyway) flew from behind me, over my head in a V formation and out over the valley. I felt very lucky to be there in that moment.
Teach, Learn, Share
hmmm, well, if you've got a question about InDesign, I could probably help you out. ;) I've also spent a lot of time helping people with English. If you want to learn how to roll a burrito, I'm your woman.
As far as learning goes, I'm really interested in learning about the politics of different places through people who live there, and I guess in general how it is to live in different places. I also like learning how to cook new dishes. Also, new music would be great!
