I studied cultural studies and am now working as a language teacher. I'm originally from Germany but have lived in Australia for the last 5 years with my partner and we have recently moved to the UK. I'm looking forward to discover the city/the country and meet new people :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started Couchsurfing in Mexico over 10 years ago and I loved it from the beginning! It's a great way to meet people who are also interested in getting to know new people and different cultures this way. I haven't used Couchsurfing for quite a while but we (my partner and I) have a spare guest room at the moment and would be happy to have some guests from time to time.

Interests

I enjoy meeting new people, get to know new countries and cultures. I enjoy(ed) my studies, travelling, riding motorbike. I love to spent time with friends, drinking coffee, go dancing (I'm a fan of Salsa or Bachata), read a good book, watch a good series (any recommendations welcome!) or playing boardgames. I'm also always eager to learn a new language.

Music: all kind of stuff, from classic to reggaeton to hiphop to ...
Movies: biographies, thrillers, etc. - one of my favorite movies is Into the Wild
Books: I love books! I can read for hours.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've always enjoyed travelling. One of the greatest experience was travelling through the southern countries of Africa on a motorbike (as a pillion passenger). It was the first time riding on a bike and it is an incredible way of discovering a country!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my time and my knowledge (if it is helpful ;) ). I would like to learn more about cooking vegetarian/vegan food, as I am vegetarian (mostly) and I am a slightly lazy when it comes to cooking. I would also love to improve/learn English, Spanish, French and/or Arabic.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I already said I can share my time and my knowledge (if it is helpful ;) ). And I could teach you how to speak German or Spanish.
