About Me

Something important right away: I am vegetarian. If food has meat I don't mind giving it to someone else and eat the rest. Just think I should mention that right away.
I love travelling, I love meeting new and cool people from all over the world and I love discussing interesting topics. I adore life, try to live each day as a gift and do whatever I feel to do - live is too short to plan everything. Something is always changing and you can never predict anything. But it's great, life would be boring right?
If you want to know more about me, check out my references or just visit me :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to give other people the chance to stay with a local here in Germany and I want to learn something about other cultures, about other places and, of course, I want to make new friends when I visit foreign countries. Actually I even prefer meeting "locals" than meeting other travellers - although I also made many friends with travellers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS-experience was in Tijuana and since that experience I started loving CS. I did it several times in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Iran and I met such amazing people. Countries can only be discovered by seeing them through the eyes of a local, not as a foreigner.

Interests

Travelling around, meeting friends, history, politics, reading, cooking food, meeting new people and helping others.

Music, Movies, and Books

AUTHORS
- Hermann Hesse
- Bertolt Brecht
- Ludwig Thoma
- Franz Kafka
- Karl May
- Khaled Hosseini
I also enjoy reading philosophy (Plato, Aristotle, Nietzsche, ...). As soon as I know more Arabic, Persian and Spanish I will also start reading literature from different parts of the world, since I think translations always lose something.
A language is a gate to a new world!

MOVIES
Actually I barely watch many movies, if I do watch one then it is with my girlfriend. I prefer reading or interacting with people.

Each kind of music, as long as it sounds nice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My 11-months-long trip from the US down to Brazil. No worries and I learned a lot about me and life in general, something I couldn't have learned elsewhere. Many things needed some time in order for me to realise them though.
A country that also changed me was India - afterwards at least. It had a long-term impact. E.g. since India I am barely drinking alcohol anymore.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook and I love it, I am learning Arabic and Persian and I would like to find more time to improve my Spanish. Talking about life is something I would consider as a hobby, same with sports.
Everybody's unique, so there is always something you can learn from a person.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belize, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkey, United States, Vatican City State, Venezuela, Yemen
