Overview
About Me
I live in the famous town of Windsor, home to our King and the largest inhabited castle in the world (it's almost 1000 years old too). Just a short train or bus ride from London (on the new Elizabeth Line - change at Slough) and even closer to Heathrow Airport. I commute into London every day, so it really is easy to get to. Visit Windsor Great Park and the River Thames, plus the smallest street in England. You can walk from my house to Legoland!
My previous Couchsurfers describe me as "taller than I thought you'd be", fun, intelligent, inquisitive (I have to look up something that I don't know...), artistic, hard working (maybe too hard), stylish, a good cook, a petrol head and often naked!
I've now hosted over 300 Couchsurfers. I've lost count. If only everyone left a reference. You will get a good idea about what it's like to stay with me from the 185+ people that did leave a reference.
Given some of that feedback, I want to make a few things clear. I live in the town of Windsor. It is NOT in London. It is about 20 miles (30km) from London but it is easy to get to and from London. I know, because I work in London and travel back and forth every day. I may even be able to give you a ride. The quickest way to travel is by train. You can make the journey in as little as 30 minutes (from London Paddington) but the normal journey time by Elizabeth Line is 45 minutes. Windsor is NOT in the Oyster card zone, so you will have to use a Contactless bankcard or ApplePay/Google Pay to pay for your journey (it's cheaper than buying a paper ticket). Public transport in the UK is expensive. The one-way journey will cost from GBP 8.00-14.00 depending on the time of day and where in London you start the journey. The cheapest way to travel to Windsor from London is by bus, which is only GBP 2.00 (Google "Greenline 702") but it can take up to 2 hours to complete the journey. However, the bus runs past my house, so it's a good choice if you have luggage.
I am a nudist and I am usually naked at home when by myself. However, unless you specifically mention in your Couch Request that you are OK with this, then I will wear clothes or underwear when you come stay. If you are a nudist too (or very open-minded) then you are, of course, welcome to join me naked. Many of my Couchsurfers have and found it to be a fun, liberating and rewarding experience. To be clear, there is certainly nothing sexual about nudism.
Please be polite : if I offer you a couch please send a reply even if just to say "thanks but no thanks" or "my plans have changed. Otherwise I hold the dates meaning other surfers don't get a chance to come and stay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Happy to host and share a little of my world with you... and in return, the ability to experience a bit of your world when I travel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have now hosted well over 300 surfers, met some great people (some of whom have come back to stay again and again, and in so doing have become good friends), had some laughs and some amazing experiences. I also had two great surfing experiences as I rode my motorcycle across Germany in 2012. I've had the odd bad experience too but try not to dwell on those.
Interests
So I work hard and do a lot of voluntary "jobs" (I help run a charity and coach people to ride motorcycles better) which doesn't always leave much time for fun. But when it does, I enjoy travelling (doh, guess that's why I'm here), experiencing new things, and driving my cars and riding my motorcycles. I'm quite creative being an artist and photographer - so I'll ask every surfer to pose for me please ;) And as you'll see from my references, I love cooking and wine too. Oh and I guess I'm a nudist (naturist, FKK) - hence the naked bit above - I hope that doesn't put you off and if it did, read my references before you discount me completely. Seeing me nude isn't really that scary!

Music, Movies, and Books
Enjoy most types of music, from classical to rock, although less into metal and rap. Love to read (and even write) but never seem to find the time :( I've just got back into vinyl, so come listen to some great sounds of the 60s and 70s as they were meant to be! I have a piano and ukulele as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ridden around the Nurburgring on my motorcycle
Ridden around the streets of London and Brighton stark naked
Whale watching off the coast of Monteray, California, in the last boat to leave the harbour before a storm blew in
Standing naked in the sunlight and snow at midnight above the Arctic Circle
Cooking in Gordon Ramsay's kitchen at Claridges Hotel, London
Riding the Isle of Man TT circuit
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll help you with the English language (British and not American)
I'll share with you my knowledge of English history and transport
I'll teach you to cook, to draw and take better photographs
I'll convince you that riding a motorcycle is great fun!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer surfers a very comfortable couch in a fine Victorian house in the famous and beautiful town of Windsor. If I have some time, I can show you around and give you the 'proper' guided tour rather than the guidebook one. If you are lucky, you can share some good home-cooked food with me over a drink. If it's cold then I will light a fire. If you are brave, I will take you out on my motorbike - it's an amazing experience if you haven't done it before . Finally, I hope you will see that living with a naked guy isn't that scary after all ;)
