ABOUT ME

When I was a small child, I talked to everyone I encountered. I am still that curious about people, just more reserved. Sometimes I am quiet- don't take it personally. Especially because I might just burst into hysterical laughter suddenly.

I dont like to rush from moment to moment. Though there may be a frenzy in my mind, I move slowly from here to there, from this to that.

I have a quiet voice, and I hate cell phones. These things could change.

PHILOSOPHY

Someone told me about a Native American community that traditionally shared all of their dreams every day. Each family member shares with the head of the household and that person goes to the head of the community. They use the collective information to make decisions. I would like to live in such a place.

I love living on planet earth! Its so magical!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

One day I was rocking as I was waiting for the bus. I wondered why women rock their babies, and why babies liked to be rocked. I reasoned that in the middle of each swing or jerk, the inertia makes the baby feel weightless and thus relaxed. Traveling is like that. The arms of the earth cradle us and we find a sense of peace.

I want to surf and host!

My parents are artists, I grew up in a live/work loft. We often had temporary roommates (such as dancers whose companies were in town for a few months). In addition, the whole building was full of creative types. I think this part of my life heightened my interest in things like cs.

Interests

art of all kinds! visual arts- visual communication and typography, dance, creative writing,film, performing arts, design. outdoors! climbing, backpacking, anthropology, architecture, so many things capture my attention.
I am not so well-informed about political things, but I am interested and would like to discuss them..in a non-competitive way.

I spend a lot of time looking at my Google Reader. I like to share what I find with everyone I know.

music: I love to listen to traditional ethnic music from every culture. I really love TUVAN THROAT SINGING. I can't get over it.
