ABOUT ME

Blah I hate this bit but here we go .......

3 years ago I was a fun, easy going person who left university to do a PhD in physics at the University of Cambridge, England. I was thirsty for knowledge, driven by my own intellectual curiosity; how naive I was!

Now my life is all about escapism ..... I love to travel and meet new people and to go out with my friends and talk about anything but my PhD. I don’t get to travel as much as I would like but even just walking around the ancient streets of Cambridge at twilight, or through a forest in the autumn is a new experience every time.

I also do a lot of physics outreach work with young people in schools and at summer camps. I love teaching enthusiastic teenagers about space and science but I could NEVER be a teacher :-)

I like to think myself an easy going person and I try as much as possible to shake off my English reserve.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm very new to CS, only learning of its existence recently. I will try and host some people as we have a couch in my house, but I’ll have to clear it with my three housemates first.

I’m travelling Texas & Louisiana in October 2011 and I am hoping to be hosted for some of this.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music - Jazz and clasical but also dance music and rock when i'm in the mood. I don't play an instrument becuase i'm unable to hold a beat :-(

I love to read and I am a big fan of classical literature. There are just too many books and not enough time.
