About Me
CURRENT MISSION
the perfect Pad Thai (a noodle dish)
ABOUT ME
I speak excitedly. I am five feet tall. I like to cook, and ride my bike, and the most perfect thing in the world is a confluence of the two: a picnic.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm not yet sure why I am alive, and that makes me very, very happy. I love possibility.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a great tour guide (when I have time), and am always up for a bike ride.
I was hosting people a lot when I lived in Granada, but now I live in more confined quarters and can only host occasionally.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Years ago, I lived in a house with nine roommates and a designated "couch surfer" position for the tenth roommate, who sometimes did and sometimes didn't exist.
Interests

- cooking
- picnic
- cycling

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: beautiful things that verge on chaos, typewriter keys and birds chirping, Johnny Cash and anything else that makes me want to sing along
Books: Anything by Haruki Murakami, guidebooks, blank books and notebooks
Movies: Rocco e i suoi Fratelli, The Royal Tenenbaums
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2001, I rode my bicycle from Seattle to San Francisco (1161.1 miles!) Woohoo!
Recently (in June), I rode my bike from San Francisco to Santa Barbara. This was a solo trip. I loved it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to say a few things in a few languages, and a lot of things in a couple of them. I like to make pizza dough from scratch. I make a pretty tasty Pad Thai; I realized the other day that I judge Thai restaurant Pad Thais (Pads Thai?) by how closely they resemble mine.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, India, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Palestine, Portugal, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
Colombia, Egypt, Morocco, Spain, United States
