关于我

CURRENT MISSION

I suppose right now I am eager to meet new people and try new things. I want to continue my current passions which are playing the harp, writing, reading/watching, thinking better, cooking, and maybe teaching. And the everpresent pursuit of passion!

ABOUT ME

Well right now as I write this I'm sitting in an office in the mountains of Colorado. You see, I've been teaching kids for three or four years now at this fancy little experiential education center. I've also taught kids at a traveling circus. But I have also not worked in my life. The woods are very nice for me. I hike and walk and sit in the woods and look at a tree or the sky and think, "existence, existence, existence," or "identity, identity, identity" or "how am I thinking?" I enjoy playing the harp and enjoying playing the harp for people and love playing harp for people as they go to bed. I find it the nicest way to go to bed. I write and read and cook. In that way I'm a quintessential 21st century boy triathele. Also I also haven't made a profile online in years and years so this experience is somewhat new to me. So I'm not sure which jokes that I write come off as jokes and which ones are interpreted as a shudder from the reader (that is, you). Rest assured, anything that seems erroneous or a little "too out there" are jokes. But then why spend so much time joking and avoid and explanation and instead just be quote-un-quote real? I suppose, actually I KNOW, that joking is real.

PHILOSOPHY

Let's talk about this one on one. I feel unable to express this via internet. But it has to do with Childhood, risk taking, loving, eternal struggle, a disbelief in the past or future only the present, you might say an eternal moment, that we are made up of the stories that people tell of us

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate in many ways. It depends in which community I am a part of at the moment. Let's break it down:

My family: talk with the folks and brother. Help when I can. Accept what is given to me and try not to ask for too much more.

My alma mater (Warren Wilson College): Actively not in anyway. But pasively I often talk and think about it in a positive way and keep in touch with my friends.

My camp in Colorado: Give give and give as much as possible. Try a foster a nice (gneiss) community and welcome everybody.

The universe: Don't contribute intergalactic litter. Protest against transgalactic sprawl. Understand that the universe and I are indivisible and a part of each other. Also that we both play donuts and love basketball! Yeah!

The internet: I use it!

Couchsurfing.org: I'd like to host folks when I have a couch. But currently I have no couch. So just surfing a la the movie Endless Summer (which I have not seen so that may be an innaccurate comparison.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None through this formalized organization. But through unformalized (dis)organizations I've slept on a couch here there and everywhere. Well not everywhere! C'Mon what do you take me for? A being that can sleep on all couches? Is that a weight joke? Well it's not the best one. Hey I hope to have couchsurfing experiences in the future!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The pyramids in egypt are amazing. What's amazing is taking kids into nature and seeing how within two hours they are deeply moved, connected, and concerned for their earth. One time I planned a circus. Many times I provided unforgettable summers for kids. And they did the same for me.

教,学,和分享

I love to talk and I've been on the computer for a long time now and I can't get anything gems of wisdom accross the screen. I suppose it's the difference between on demand and live talk shows like Jerry Springer and Montel. I can't do On Demand wisdom, but when a natural conversation setting like a talk show or a dinner table or couch or under a forest, I can talk some stuff. I'm open to learn what's available.
