Hey you,
My name is Aafke. I am originally from the Netherlands and now I work in Berlin as a researcher on the topic solar fuels. Here we want to use sun light to produce a clean and renewable fuel from water. Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to save the environment and now I try to do so :)
I can be very serious about my work, but most of all I want to have fun; don't we all?
I have always enjoyed to learn things, and since finishing my masters I wanted to learn more about me, life, social interaction, ... Meeting new people and traveling are great ways to learn that.
I also would like to excel in arts, and think there lies my problem, because I kind of suck. Or perhaps I give up to quickly, or set too high standards? Anyway, I like to see and listen to it. And it always inspires me to try new things.
Some random things I like to do include day dreaming, making a snow man or sand castles, swinging (the playground kind, the dancing kind I've never tried to be honest).
