I am from India, and came to Germany in 2017. Since then I did a master's in physics and a one year PhD in Astronomy at Bamberg. Presently I work as a finance consultant, which is often confusing for people, since something doesn't add up in this path. From January, I will go back to astronomy, in Potsdam. :)

But that's life, and I prefer to go with the flow rather than try to make sense of everything linearly. So far it has brought me enrichment and I have made connections with people and places I could have never imagined.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing to further increase my connections to different people in this world. I believe I have much to offer and much to learn and I am looking forward to learning something new from people everywhere. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Presently I am into techno, but my first and last love will always be rock, especially progressive rock.
Books are a difficult question, so I will give you authors instead: Fyodor Dostoevsky, Ernest Hemingway, Enid Blyton, Franz Kafka, Arthur Conan Doyle, and Aldous Huxley. Nowadays however I am more into non fiction.

My favorite movie is either Dazed and Confused, which I used to watch with my friends back home, or The Matrix. One movie I loved but will probably never watch again is Requiem for a Dream. In terms of aesthetics Let the right one in. In terms of weirdness Daisies. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't swim (it's an Asian trait largely), so surfing in Portugal is definitely one amazing thing for me.
