Currently thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. Always in search of a warm bed and a shower. I love all kinds of adventure and would love to share some stories over a few beers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and explore new places. It's always more fun with a local who knows the best spots and making new friends is great, too.

Interests

I play the trumpet, and have spent most of my life teaching music. I'm also in the process of learning guitar, ukulele, and banjo. I'm a big sports ball fan. Favorites are soccer, hockey, and baseball. But I'll watch/talk about anything you want.

Music, Movies, and Books

I honestly like almost all kinds of music. I'm a classically trained musician, and also have a heavy background in jazz. Some of my other favorite bands are Ben Folds, Radiohead, RHCP, Rubblebucket, Griz, The Bird and the Bee, it goes on.

Books are good things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flying over the Pyrenees in a single engine airplane was pretty breathtaking. Went on an incredible backpacking trip in the mountains of New Mexico. Performed, many times, for audiences numbering up to 20,000.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can play some ukulele for you. Sometimes I can make funny jokes.
